Credit Union Directors Meet and Plan Insurance

The Poveréllo Credit Union directors held their third monthly meeting on July 24. The supervisory committee filed the first quarterly audit with recommendations and the credit committee reported membership 148 deposits 4418.40 loans 28135.00. They voted to apply for loan protection insurance from the Credit Union National Association. Ralph Brown explained the service covers death or disability with full loan repayment by the CU National Association. The notary service and lowered loan rates were noted and the office at 245 Clay Street will open Saturdays 8 00 to 9 00 p m in addition to existing hours.

Hog Association Tour Planned for Wyandot County

The Wyandot County Hog Improvement Association invites members families and friends to a tour on Wednesday August 9. Man Suffers Hand Injuries At Local Shop

Richard Simonis sustained fractures to the first three fingers of his left hand when a 20 gallon drum of oil rolled from a rack and struck his hand as he reached for a part at Mapes Color and Melody Shop. He received treatment at a local physician’s office and was unconscious briefly due to shock.

Carey Kiwanis Club Hosts Crawford County Juvenile Judge

At the Carey Kiwanis meeting on Monday July 31 Miss Constance Keller of Bucyrus spoke as guest. Keller is probate judge of Crawford County and described juvenile court activities with anonymized case histories. The program was led by the underprivileged children's committee chaired by Charles Schwemley. Attendance surpassed forty as members brought their wives. No next month programs announced yet.

Polio Misdiagnosis Affects Kenton Chiropractor

Dr. Richard Arnett, 27, of Kenton recently opened a clinic above Peoples Bank, was moved from San Antonio hospital to Children's hospital in Columbus after a mild polio diagnosis. Columbus doctors found no polio signs and he is expected to be discharged soon.
