Last Rites for Henry J. Welly in Fostoria Catholic Church
Funeral services for 81 year old Henry J. Welly of Alvada were held at St Weddelin Church Fostoria after his death at Fostoria City Hospital. He endured a heart ailment since December and had been hospitalized since April 8. He was born June 28 1873 in Big Spring township Seneca county. Survived by five sisters and a brother. Three brothers preceded him.

Funeral services were held at Shields mortuary for Clarence H. Ratliff 43 who died of a heart attack. Burial followed in Wharton cemetery. Ratliff lived in Forest 14 years and worked in Kenton. Survived by wife Lucille daughters Dorothy Stephens Abingdon Md and Louise at home brothers Dennis Carey Leslie and Arthur Forest sisters Mrs Thomas Lee and Mrs Clayton Pever Wharton and one grandchild.
Carey Doctor Shows Film of African Game
Dr McDaniel of Carey presented a film reel on African game at a Conservation Club meeting with about 70 attendees. He narrated scenes of Africa’s wild game and notable images of the pyramids and the Holy Land, also showing footage from Athens and Rome.

Skeleton find on farm yields Indian mound remains
Earl Smith uncovers an almost complete human skeleton near the Thomas A. Reber farm south of Upper Sandusky. Beads and a possible pouch suggest burial with the remains. Parts of a second skeleton were found nearby.
