Carey High School Demonstration Driving Tests Scheduled

Carey High School will host a demonstration driving test on April 29 at 1 40 p m in front of the school on B South street. Students and teachers will drive to stop on a marked block while police drivers perform high speed tests. A 30 minute lecture and movie precede the street demonstration with six students aiding in placement measurement and record keeping.

Roman Banquet To Be Held By Junior Classical League

The Junior Classical League will host its annual Roman banquet on Thursday evening April 22 in the cafeteria. Students will wear Roman costumes eat replicas of ancient meals and enjoy entertainment during the meal served by ten junior Latin students. The group is sponsored by Miss Lucia Grieser.

Carey and Columbus Grove Win One Act Contests

Carey and Columbus Grove won first place in the one act play contests at Carey High School on April 9 and advanced to the State Finals April 16 and 17. Plays were Carey Shadow of a Dream and Columbus Grove Ye Shall Be Waiting. three of five entries earned superior ratings moving to state.

Children Poisoning Linked to Plastic Bubbles

Harvey and Louise Sopher, children of Mr and Mrs Frederick Sopher, became ill last week from a poisoning blamed on blowing plastic bubbles. The substance in the plastic caused facial swelling around the eyes, nearly closing them. Harvey missed two days of school.

Girl Scout Camp Rally in Upper Sandusky

Sunday April 25 at 2 30 p m the Carey and Wyandot county Girl Scouts meet at St Peters school Upper Sandusky for a camp rally.
