Dr and Mrs R J Lemons plan to move their medical office from W Findlay Street to the Burson room on E Findlay Street in the space recently bought by William Wright from Otis Shaver of Toledo. Leo T Jones and partners bought the Lemons property and intend to build a new theatre on the site soon.
Mrs. Donald W Bates learns her husband Set Bates in the medical corps serves in New Guinea while two brothers Robert and Mac also fight in the Pacific. Robert has been wounded and returned to action while Mac’s exact Guadalcanal location is unclear. All three are sons of Mr and Mrs W E Bates of Fosteria formerly Carey residents.
Round and square dancing to music by the Victory Boosters is slated for Saturdays at the Eagles trail. Door writes mention the cost of 3.00 in war stamps.
Ed Weaver the town marshal warns that dogs must stay on their owner’s property and on leash if brought to town. He declares that violations will lead to prosecution.
The Luther League of Christ Lutheran Church presents a declamation contest at 10 30 a m next Sunday with six Christ Church competitors Rosemary Rook Joyce Snyder Donald Krebs Richard Bland Barbara Johnson and Dorothy Thomas. The event led by Rev Wade H Koons features pieces written by Lutheran chaplains now in military service and aims toward state honors at the Lutheran Lakeside summer school on July 21. Public attendance is invited at the 10 30 worship hour.
Mrs. Orien D Wilgus received a telegram stating her husband Lt Orien D Wilgus, reported missing March 22, has returned to military control and will contact her soon. He was last known to fly a C 46 transport between India and China. Mrs. Wilgus is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Mitchell.
Mr and Mrs Lloyd A Sworden and family plan to move about May 1 from the Williams property on W Findlay street to the Roy Montague property on E South street The Williams house was purchased from the heirs of C A Williams by Mr and Mrs Earl Williams who will relocate to Carey from a farm near Alvada in the near future.

Beatrice A Bishop manager of the Marion field office of the social security board will hold a meeting at the municipal building in Carey at 3 00 p m on Tuesday April 18.
The Carey Philharmonic Society directed by Donald Parfitt will present its 7th annual concert at the Methodist church Tuesday evening April 18 at 8 30. The program features multiple vocal and instrumental pieces with soloists accompanists and guest performers and invites the public to attend.
Mr and Mrs Earl Burson left Monday for Chicago to attend an insurance agents regional school sponsored by Equitable Life Insurance Co of Iowa. They planned train reservations to San Francisco to visit Paul Burson in Oakland where he serves in the U S Navy if travel permits.

Patrick Logsdon son of Mr and Mrs Wilfrid Logsdon of Carey left for Fort Thomas Kentucky to be inducted into the Army Air Corps and later go to Texas for training. His four brothers also serve: Lt James R Logsdon in the Army Air Corps at Lake Charles Louisiana Cpl Edmund B Logsdon in the Marines at Quantico wounded in the South Pacific and Sers Harold L Logsdon and Herman J Logsdon in the Marines at Parris Island.
