Notice from Cameron Cotton Oil Co and County Auditor L A Variett asking patrons to pay cash for seed hulls meat and all products with no credit. The report covers interest due from First National Bank Citizens National Bank and county depository notes paid July 10 1917 and totals for road bond districts 7 9 10 11 12. A detailed county expenditure statement is on file for citizen inspection.
A funeral tale from Roswell recounts the burial of George Turner Mae Bell Turner and Luther Turner, siblings who died within hours of each other after a two year marriage for George and Mae Bell. Luther Turner, born May 138 1898, also a Methodist, was laid to rest after visiting Roswell. The story notes their Texas origins and family ties to Alvis Turner of Rosebud.
