Nineteen of Planned Brushy Creek Structures Completed
Forty three structures remain in the Brushy Creek flood retarding program as of now. Nineteen of the 58 planned structures have been completed with four on Turkey Creek and one under construction. Easements secured on 26 sites and nine more cleared. Vegetation established on seven dam spillways with more contracts set for December start next January. Channel work surveys near completion for a five mile Lower Brushy segment and landowners will be informed with easements to be secured before construction begins.
