Mrs Mayes a longtime Maysfield resident died after a devout life as a mother of seven. She graduated from Stuart's Seminary in 1897 and married R B Mayes in 1901. Survived by her children, mother, and many siblings, her funeral was held at the Maysfield Presbyterian Church with a large turnout.
