Cattle Thief and Ex-Convict Sentenced to Five Years
W H Beebe pleaded guilty in district court to cattle theft and received a five year term in the state pen. The ex convict stole three cows from Roy Newton R B Mayes and Oliver Franklin of Maysfield in 1938 then sold them in Waco. He escaped from jail after being jailed and was recaptured in Groesbeck on April 26 1939.
