Dam Contract Awarded to Winston Brothers for Belton Project
U S Army engineers award the Belton dam outlet works contract to Winston Brothers of California and Minnesota with a bid of 1 890 571 dollars. The project includes a 200 plus foot concrete tower and a 22 by 790 foot conduit with three intake openings and gated control mechanisms. The first payments from a $5,000,000 soil conservation program were mailed to 138 districts nationwide with four more to receive funds soon.
