Banks Aiding Government In Wartime Credit Flows

Farm Accounting Lessons for Wisconsin Farms

An analysis of detailed farm records from Wisconsin farms highlights key lessons in sound business practice. Investment costs, including interest and depreciation, run about two thirds of total expenses and are largely fixed regardless of production. Managers must distinguish real from false savings by measuring long term income impact before cutting costs. Substantial savings come from home grown food and cured meats, reducing family expenses and improving farm life.
