Softball fans enjoyed two games and an exhibition by Cameron Band. Little’s Icers defeated Athletic Council 20 to 4 in one hour. Texaco beat Minerva Oilers 22 to 0 with strong pitching from Cone and solid team play.

Rockdale boosters for the Legion Fourth of July Celebration plan a visit to Cameron on Wednesday night July 1. Mayor E A Camp will deliver an address inviting Cameron residents to spend the day in Rockdale. Cameron’s band will perform in Rockdale on July 4 as part of a regional publicity tour.

Rockdale Legion 10 Celebrates July 4th Centennial

The Carlisle Post No. 358 of Rockdale hosts its fifteenth American Legion Fourth of July celebration at Rockdale Fair Park with a monster street parade. The lineup features the Light Cruat Dough Boys New Braunfels Prom and Bugle Corps and several out of town entrants. Added attractions include four horse races a colt race and two automobile races.
