Producers Expect Better Egg Prices
COLLEGE STATION Egg prices for the first three months in 1960 are likely to be lower than those in 1959 but prices are expected to rise April through June due to smaller supply. A smaller replacement batch is anticipated because of a difficult 1959, says F Z Beanblossom extension poultry marketing specialist. If hatchery reports show cuts, storers may bid eggs up, limiting replacement hatch reductions.
