Cameron hosts Danny Kelley concert aids park project
The Women's Auxiliary of the Cameron Chamber sponsored Danny Kelley at the National Guard Armory on April 1, 1975. The event raised 500 dollars for playground equipment near O. J. Thomas Junior High, with Mrs. O. J. Thomas donating 500 for drinking fountains in honor of her husband. The Urban Renewal Agency lists staff including A. W McCullin Sr and A. E. Matula, noting federal support under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949.
