Three Murder Cases End with Convictions in Marion County Court
In Buena Vista and surrounding areas, defendants tied to three murder cases were convicted. McNeal pleaded guilty and received a life sentence after his body was found partly burned and disposed of in a creek. John Blythe was sentenced to twenty years for a separate murder at Henry Singleton’s home between Tazewell and Mauk on December 24, 1929. Frankli Erankling was convicted of murder in the southern county region, with a sentence of one to two years.

Davis Receives Death Penalty in Alabama Murder Case
