Funeral rites for Mrs Ellen Youngblood held at Mt Olive
Funeral services for Mrs Ellen Youngblood aged 92 were conducted Sunday at Mt Olive Freewill Baptist church Taylor Mill with Rev C H Moore officiating. She died Friday at her daughter Mrs Florence Hall's Manchester home and was buried in Mt Olive cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie Harmon died Wednesday morning at Montgomery hospital after a fall in her poultry yard. Born October 13 1870 in Taylor county she is survived by her son Jamie, two sisters Lola Ham and Mrs J L Austin and two grandchildren Riley and Dorothy Harmon. Funeral services will be held today at Bethel Primitive Baptist church with interment in the family lot.

Reynolds Citizens Gather Today for Community Action Plan
More than five hundred Reynolds residents will meet in Reynolds City Park on Thursday for a barbecue and a festival day. The event features entertainment and a formal launch of a 10 point community action program including goals like more payrolls, better health, education, housing, and good roads.
