Dr. J. A. Fountain Dies in Macon at 53
Dr. J. A. Fountain of Macon died of a heart attack at a local hospital after a two day illness. A Vanderbilt trained physician, he practiced in Macon for 26 years and served in World War I. He was 53, survived by his wife, two children, and several siblings, with funeral services held at Memorial Chapel and burial in Riverside cemetery.

Dr Julian Gill of Ellaville has purchased the Shellman Drug Company in Shellman Georgia from Dr J B Cherry and assumes charge. The business will continue at the same location under the same trade name with J B McLeod of Shellman joining Dr Gill. Dr Gill is a Butler native and former Army veteran who studied at Southern College of Pharmacy and the University of Georgia.
