Leesburg Va June 14 a Capital Airlines plane with fifty on board crashed into a Blue Ridge mountainside near Charles Town West Virginia. Ground teams labored through mud to reach the wreckage as officials spoke of no survivors and aviation officials considered safety steps.

Atlanta Georgia June 13 The State of Georgia revoked the Ku Klux Klan charter after the secret order ended its corporate fight. Judge Bond Almand signed orders dissolving the hooded knights corporate status. Grad Dragon Samuel Green dismissed the action as meaningless saying the KKK will ride so long as a white man liveth.

Mrs Daisy O Dent Dies Near Charing After Stroke
Mrs Daisy Oliver Dent died at her home near Charing on Saturday morning after a two week illness caused by a stroke. Born March 31 1882 in Reynolds she was married to W O Dent who survives. Funeral at Mt Vernon Baptist Church in Schley County with Rev Ron Lawhorn and Rev J W Whitley officiating. Interment in Mt Vernon Cemetery. Surviving are her husband two daughters six sons seven grandchildren and several in laws. Funeral arrangements were handled by J W Edwards II of Edwards Funeral Home.

School Library Opens Two Days a Week During Vacation
Beginning next Tuesday the Butler school and public library will be open each Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 to 5 p m.
