Wade's Service Held Sunday for Mercer Wade
Mercer A Wade son of the late rev wid Mrs J T Wade of Talbot and Taylor counties died Friday from a golf ball injury while at the municipal course. He was reared in Reynolds and attended the University of Georgia and later worked with Gulf States Creosoting Co. Relatives from here attended the funeral including Mrs Louis R Dean Ed Wilson Mrs J E Mathis and Miss Gussie Wilson. Final rites were held at the Baldwin chapel with Rev W A Hewitt officiating and interment in Lakewood cemetery. Wade had been in Jackson the past year as a special inspector at the Gulf States Creosoting plant.

An order by Judge Bascom S. Deaver in the United States district court at Macon directs J. B. Downs, receiver, to sell the remaining assets of the defunct bank. He also authorizes transferring all items left with the bank to Citizens State Bank of Reynolds for safekeeping.
