Double Ring Wedding in Lake Victor for Judy Feild Westphal

Miss Judy Feild of Lake Victor married Larry Westphal of Waco in a double ring ceremony conducted by Rev. Packin Moon. The bride wore a formal gown and carried a white bouquet. reception followed at the Lake Victory Community Center with family and friends from Burnet and Waco in attendance.

Joy Candidate For TST Graduation From State Tech

Joy, a student at James Connally Campus of State Tech in Waco, plans to graduate with roughly 425 peers in May. He has served as treasurer of the student senate and secretary-treasurer of the PlectYonies Club, and is State Director of the State Tech Jaycers. He will pursue a bachelor’s degree in Electronics with a Business minor after earning an Associate of Applied Science degree. State Tech operates four Texas campuses including Mid-Continent in Amarillo, Rolling Plains in Sweetwater, and Rio Grande in Harlingen.

Burnet physician L. Waldo Leggett, M.D., was elected to honorary membership by the Texas Medical Association at its 108th annual meeting in San Antonio. The group, with more than 12 500 members, recognized Leggett for long service and notable contributions to ethical medicine.

Birth of William Micah Yarborough in Fort Worth

Mr and Mrs Bill Yarborough of Fort Worth announce the arrival of a newborn son on May 9 1975. William Micah weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces at birth. Paternal grandparents are Carl Yarborough of Fort Worth and Mrs Large of Kansas. Great grandmother is Mrs Lee Yarborough of Burnet.

Burnet 4-H Club Elects Officers

The Burnet 4-H Club elected new officers on Monday May 12 at 730 p.m. Outgoing leaders were Glen Wills president Davis Wall vice president Linda Wall secretary treasurer Greg Collins reporter and Theresa Mallett council delegate. New officers are Steve Ebeling president Sharon Downing vice president Cindy Bost ic secretary treasurer Melony McCoy reporter Todd Bostic council delegate and Theresa Mallett alternate. A rabbits program by Jerry McGinty Alan Shipp and Doug Haynes preceded refreshments.

Burnet County Reports April Traffic Accidents Rise

The Texas Highway Patrol logged 25 rural highway accidents in Burnet County in April 1975. There were no deaths and 10 injuries that month, totaling 66 accidents with one death and 28 injuries in Burnet County in 1975.

Burnet High School Future Homemakers of America and sponsors visited Austin on April 29. The group toured the Capitol where they were met by Sared McCullough and escorted to the event facilities.
