Bus crashes into Hamilton Creek near High Lander Inn
Reported on a Friday night a group of geology students drove a bus into Hamilton Creek at the slab crossing from town to the Highlander Inn. The bus was removed with only the driver's pride damaged. Gasoline sold in Mexico for 1.19 a gallon sparking jokes about burros. Also noted during an eclipse a few moon photos resembling a bouncing ball.

Fatal accidents claim two drivers on U S Highway 281
A head on collision about four miles south of Marble Falls on Highway 281 South Friday night May 24 killed both drivers. Donald Hall 23 of Santa Barbara California and Preston Johnson 31 of Thrall Texas died at the scene. Investigating officers gave no immediate causal factors.

On Thursday May 29 the Burnet CISD ends its school year for 1605 students, 96 from Burnet High School graduate and move on. Approximately 160 intermediate students have graduation Friday May 29 at 7 30 p m. High school commencement is set for Saturday May 30 at 8 p m. Teachers have work days Friday and Saturday. Second Body Found In Lake Buchanan
