Sylvan Childress, a negro, charged with fatally stabbing Ethel Williams, a negro woman, was held to the grand jury without bond by Justice J. T. McGee. They had lived together in Wheelock. she left him three weeks earlier and was found dead after he allegedly killed her in Bryan last Tuesday. Jesus Garcia, Mexican, held to grand jury on robbery for stealing 170 dollars from Joe Agilar, a fellow worker, after breaking into his trunk. he was captured at Navasota and the money recovered.

Bryanites Hurt In Auto Wreck Near Buffalo
Steve Slama of the Bryan highway shop suffered a broken rib and cuts when a car carrying the Slama family collided with a cotton truck on highway 32 near Buffalo at about 5 AM Saturday. Mrs Slama was knocked unconscious. their sister was thrown from the car, but the children and others were only slightly hurt. The car overturned several times and was demolished before being brought back to Bryan to the Shima home in Cole addition.

Negroes Jailed Admit Cotton Theft at Snook
John Richard Robert Carter and Lewis Taplin, four negroes, are jailed in Burleson county charged with stealing cotton from a gin at Snook. Constable Horace Reed arrested them Friday morning after an investigation. They confessed after officers questioned them about the two cars and loose cotton found at the Eden gin.
