Waco Times-Herald notes Dean E J Kyle of Texas A and M conducts the world’s only pecan culture course. The program trains students in budding and top-working native trees with top varieties. Graduates lead county pecan efforts, with one agent planting 30,000 buds and another overseeing a 10,000 acre irrigated orchard.

Lee Alexander a local preacher wanted by Corsicana officers on a statutory charge was arrested by Constable J D Conlee Sr in Bryan. He remains in the county jail until officers arrive to take him to Corsicana to answer the charges.
This morning around 7 on West 26th street a fire alarm from the Burton Bruce residence caused by a defective flue. The home is owned by Jim Godwin with little damage. At 10 a.m. a second fire alarm from the Lee Wilson residence a two story frame house started by a spark from the flue. Practically no damage occurred.
The Reliance community club met at the church Friday night on a changed schedule for a social evening. Miss Essie Shealey led a fine program with school recitations readings and plays. Oak McKenzie Bryan county attorney spoke on Boyhood Days and cherishing a golden youth. W E Neeley rediscussed some the sermon followed by further remarks.

Mrs Christian Pohlman mother of F E Lichte died at 1 30 pm Sunday in Graham Texas The funeral was held Monday at 2 o clock in the Graham cemetery The Lichte children J E Lichte Bryan Herman Lichte Henry Lichte and Miss Grady Lichte were notified and visited Graham with Bryan and College friends sending sympathy to Mr Lichte.
Milam Arnold of Wellborn pleaded guilty in Bryan court to dynamiting fish in the Navasota River. He was fined $25 plus costs totaling $52.50 after arrest by Deputy State Game Warden Sledge Houston and Constable J D Conlee Sr.
