Broncho Cagers Return From Austin Meet
Thirteen Bryan High Bronchos led by Conach Bill Carmichael and Assistant Coach Sam Crenshaw returned from Austin where they played in the state tournament. The team was eliminated in the second round by the Athens Hornets who later captured the state crown. Carmichael praised the players for playing splendidly but drew a tough semifinal matchup versus the eventual champions. The Bronchos earlier beat strong foes this season and posted a 16 win 5 loss record. Spring athletics will focus on football with Pete Jones coaching and about 30 candidates. Captain Louis Tuck is the only letterman back for next season.
