Ten-Year-Old Bond Boy Run Over on Bryan Fiam Street

A 10-year-old boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bond, was run over by a car on Main Street near Lawrence Grocery and Groginsky's. The driver, reportedly Miss Louise Viviana, stopped and waited for police. The boy lies in serious condition after the accident around 5:30 PM near Allen Street.

Brazos Peaches Impress With Size At Steep Hollow Orchard

I M Cook brings a bucket of two peach varieties Mixon Clings and Elberts to the Eagle office from Steep Hollow Brazos County. A largest fruit measured 10 inches around. Cook grows about 80 cling trees and 30 Elberta trees with a half crop expected. Residents urged to try these peaches.

Girl Suffers Fractured Arm After Bed Fall

Seven year old Jessie Thomas, daughter of Will R. and Mrs. Thomas, fractured her right arm Friday afternoon during a home fall from bed. The break is twice between wrist and elbow. Immediate hospital care provided comfort and she is doing nicely today.

Mathematics professor W. P. Udinskey of A and M College writes from Chicago that he will bicycle to Bryan to enjoy the open air. He aims to finish the trip in not over 30 days barring bad luck or rain and promises an interesting story on arrival.

Parker Farm Sold in Brazos Bottom Land Deal

The John K. Parker plantation of about 2650 acres in Burleson county near Jones Bridge was sold for about 200000 to J. S. Mooring who already holds about 2500 acres in Brazos county. The bulk of Mooring holdings now exceeds 5000 acres. The purchase includes all crops, livestock, implements, and tenancy for 300 to 400 workers.

A crowd of over 200 in Steele’s Store hall planned Brazos County Day at the A and M Short Course and practiced songs and speeches. A committee will canvass Steele’s Store and Stone City for attendance and car space while a follow up gathering is set for Stone City Tuesday night.
