Funeral Service For Ex-Resident Sallie W Tabor
Funeral services were held in Houston for Sallie W Tabor who died Monday evening after a lingering illness. The service at Settegast-Kopf chapel was read by Robert A. Don’t Plow Up Cotton Warning For Farmers
College Station July 2 A warning to farmers to refrain from plowing up or destroying cotton acres offered for retirement in contracts with the secretary of agriculture was issued by H H Williamson vice director and state agent of the Texas Extension Service. He said reports show farmers are being restrained from plowing and cautioned that doing so before contracts are approved in Washington would deprive them of benefits.

Funeral Service Held Wednesday For Aged Citizen
Dougald McDougald died Tuesday at 1 20 p m at his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr Thomas Gordon Watts officiating. Interment was in Bryan City cemetery. He was a lifelong Bryan resident with Scotch ancestry and a pioneer in East Texas lumber business. E A former Allen Academy band director now with Marley Production Company of Fort Worth reports a second well planned on the Marley lease east of Bryan along Highway 21. The Klintworth No 1 drilling paused for water supply and a new well is underway nearby. Equipment for the second well will be moved in shortly, according to Mr Lightfoot.
