Nolan Hensarling, son of T. A. Hensarling Jr. and Ima Cook of Stephenville, was featured as “the only perfect 6-year-old child” in a health examination at Stephenville. He is grandchild to I. M. Cook and Tom Hensarling of Steep Hollow, with his father a poultry husbandry associate professor at John Tarleton College.

Comparatively cool conditions dominated last week with a high of 72 degrees reached on Monday and a low of 35 degrees noted on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Total rainfall measured 2.8 inches, with daily amounts including 2.52 inches on Monday and 0.28 inches on Sunday.

Groginsky Store Fire Damages Woodyard Building and Shops

A Saturday night blaze at Main and 24th street heavily damaged the Groginsky store and the Woodyard building, with smoke affecting the nearby Sanitary Barber Shop. Insurance totals include 18500 on stock and 3000 on furnishings for the Grogin s k y s, 10000 on the Woodyard building, and 1000 for the barber owners. Adjusters expected soon.

Government to deploy 12 inspectors against cattle tick in Brazos County

Twelve inspectors of cattle dipping will begin work in Brazos county March 1 as part of a federal campaign led by Dr. C. W. Brown of the U S Department of Agriculture. Earl Sprott will serve as an expert inspector from Cameron, with eleven Brazos county appointees to be announced next month. Range riders will later join the effort to ensure adequate coverage.

The State Highway Department has allotted 35162 dollars for widening shoulders ditching and gravel on Highway 14 X All highway in Fall county from Limestone to Robertson. Tribute to Long Service in Bryan Church Work

Mrs. M Nagle of El Paso and her brother A M Waldrop attended the First Baptist church in Bryan. Members honored the life long service of Dr James B McLelland the second superintendent of the Baptist Sunday School from 1869 to 1880. The George Washington Bicentennial Commission has arranged school oriented programs for the 200th anniversary of Washingtons birth. Viewable through commission headquarters in Washington D C. Burglars Break Into City High School and Library

Burglars entered the Carnegie Library and Stephen F. Austin High School late Saturday or Sunday night seeking money. Eight cents was stolen from the library and all bacon and eggs from the high school cafeteria. entry to the high school was gained through the laboratory door.

Durham's office, the library, Miss Wilcox's locker, and the cafeteria were broken into. A high school break in occurred with a safe touched but nothing stolen.
