Red Cross Plans to Reach Every Needy in Brazos County

The Red Cross announces ongoing relief efforts in Brazos County with a third flour shipment of 23 040 pounds received January 1 and stored in a Bryan warehouse. Free distribution uses signed receipts on Form 2000 B, kept on file at Bryan City Hall, and will continue in 1933.

Surprise party honors F. F. Regmund on fortieth birthday

Nearly a hundred friends gathered at the Regmund family home on Brazos Street to celebrate the coming of F. F. Regmund’s fortieth birthday. Mrs. Regmund orchestrated the all day event with a noon barbecue feast and evening birthday cake as guests, many with children, offered gifts and well wishes.

The Cloud family held their annual reunion at the Kurten home of Mr. and Mrs. Z. L. Jones on Sunday with over fifty relatives and friends sharing a turkey dinner. The gathering included J. P. Brilliant silver anniversary reception at C M Cole home

The home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Cole on East 24th street hosted a reception from 8 to 11 p.m. for more than two hundred guests honoring their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Decor featured silvered smilax and blue grapes, a bridal cake and silver accents throughout the rooms. Peanuts From Brazos Soil Prompts Local Farmer Appeal

Carl Jones of the Tabor community brings a sack of fine peanuts grown on a farm acre in 1982 to the Eagle office. Jones touts Brazos county soil for profitable peanut crops and urges farmers to plant at least a small acreage. A McLennan county rabbit drive sponsored by the Texas Fish and Game Protective Association proceeds this week with rabbits stored in Waco for distribution by United Charities and the Salvation Army.

Electra Pastor Delivers First Sermon at CAB Revival

Woman of Bryan Is Bereaved by Brothers Death

Mrs. D. W. Fagan travels to Beaumont Texas after the sudden death of her brother Frank E. Lee from heart disease in Beaumont. Lee is survived by his widow and two sons Frank Austin Lee and Sidney Lanier Lee. Funeral services set for Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Beaumont.
