New York social circles await Hancock Crenshaw union

Miss Julia May Hancock of Austin and Bryan Texas will wed Edwin Wayne Crenshaw in St Bartholomew Church on Wednesday. The silver anniversary celebration and Tiffany invitations set a refined tone with orchids and silver smilax. A Sherry's reception for seventy follows the ceremony and the couple will reside in San Antonio after January 1.

Kings Highway Club Girls Elect Officers for Year

Mexican Doctor and Wife Visit Bryan Residents

Dr. G E Long of Monterey Mexico and his wife are guests of Dr and Mrs R J Hunnicutt in Bryan after visiting Marlin. They plan to return to Mexico via San Antonio where they once lived. Long served as army surgeon under Carranza and was an associate doctor on the Mexico City Police Medical Board. Mrs Long is R H Hunnicutt's sister and formerly held posts in the National White Cross of Mexico during the revolution.

Little William Nelson Dies in San Antonio

Little William Glenn Nelson aged four and a half died after an appendicitis operation at Santa Rosa Hospital San Antonio. He is survived by his parents a sister Dorothy Camille and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Fasman. Interment was at Rosewood Cemetery. The family quotes a Bible verse and grieves his loss.

Successful Brazos County Farmer In Bryan Spends Day

Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Jackson of Cawthen visited Bryan to shop with local merchants. Jackson reported 1500 acres in cultivation, only 102 bales of cotton harvested, and plans to plow under land for another crop, expressing durable faith in a productive year ahead.

Deacon Dubbs to Visit Millican December 11 1925

The Deacon Dubbs of Sorgum Center West Virginia will tour Brazos county towns including Millican Wellborn Bryan and Tabor. He will host a Husking Bee and lead The Virginia Reel at Millican School Auditorium on Friday night December 11 1925 at 7 30.

Howell to Visit New York City Office and Family

W S Howell leaves tomorrow for New York on a business trip and to visit his son W S Howell Jr and Mrs Howell who have returned from Warsaw where he served as first secretary in the embassy for two years. He is now stationed at Bryar Cliff Lodge Bryar Cliff Manor about twenty five miles up the Hudson River from New York City. The Howells plan to visit Bryan after Christmas.

Reverend R L Brown Returns From Baptist Meeting

Rev R L Brown and family returned from the Baptist General Convention of Texas in Mineral Wells. He says the meeting was the best in six years with strong missionary zeal and a pledge to raise 1 800 000 for foreign missions in December led by Cottonwood and College Baptists.

Churches donate to Buckner Orphan Home in Brazos county

Rev. R. L. Brown led Thanksgiving services at First Baptist College Station Wellborn Bethel Rock Prairie and Cottonwood. The churches contributed a combined $375 to the Buckner Orphan Home, a notable gesture given local conditions.

Small Turnout At Bryan Brazos Chamber Meeting

A light attendance marked the Bryan and Brazos County Chamber of Commerce Tuesday morning board meeting due to sickness and city absence. Secretary Eberstadt read a highway supervisor appreciation letter, and Good Cheer Association discussed a municipal Christmas Tree and fund drive. County agent Benson praised the chamber and business men for aiding Cliff Lopez, the prize club boy. Members present included Bradley, Covey, Edge, Haswell, Henderson, Gordon, McInnis, Parker, Zountree, with Eberstadt and Benson visiting. Bradley presided in the absence of President Lawrence.

Little Barnes Boy Breaks Leg Monday

Master Robert Lee Barnes son of Mr and Mrs John Barnes of the Tabor community fell from the porch at home today breaking the left leg between knee and ankle. He was taken to doctors Searcy and Wilkerson in Bryan where X ray confirmed the fracture. The bone was set and a plaster cast applied and he is reported doing well.

World Court talk to be given by Mrs Robinson

Mrs. Fred B. Robinson will speak on The Entrance of the United States Into the World Court at a luncheon on Tuesday December 15 at the Aggieland Inn College. Death comes to Mrs. Pansy Peck of Dallas

Mrs. Pansy Peck, daughter of Hal Peck of Corsicana, died in Dallas Monday night. She was a niece of Mrs. J. W. Coulter of Bryan and sister of R. W. Downard. The body will be brought to Corsicana for burial and the funeral is to be held from the parental home Tuesday afternoon.

At the L. S. Ross Chapter of the U D C Friday session at Mrs. J B Stevenson home, members focused on the year ahead with three key committees named for essays on Southern history, Confederate generals displays in Bryan schools, and a public Historical Evening. Constable J D Conlee arrested three youths for auto theft after finding them asleep in a Buick roadster in front of his home.
