Brazos County Soldiers Advance in Army Roles

From Camp Travis Texas November 27 Brazos County soldiers in Company G 360 Infantry gain new assignments and schooling. Ludwig Falgeau transfers to Kelly Field as an aeroplane mechanic while Stump Williams becomes a sergeant major in Division Headquarters troop Horace Boyett moves to the 315th Engineers and William Cook serves as sergeant in brigade headquarters. Several others train in machine rifle bayonet and French language courses as the unit prepares for range practice. The company team has dominated locally in baseball and football readiness remains high with Joe Spell and John Caldwell leading the laundry details and Ton Richie training as pes.

Bryan Lodge No 859 Elks conducted its annual memorial service at 7 30 PM in the First Baptist church attended by a large crowd.
