War Exists Between United States and Austria Hungary Declared

A joint resolution drafted in line with President Wilson and the state department declares a state of war exists with Austria Hungary since noon today. It directs the full use of naval and military forces to wage war against that government. The measure was introduced by the affairs committee led by Chairman Flood of the House foreign affairs committee.

Missouri plans to cut hog deaths by 95 percent

P L Lewis chairman of the state board of agriculture says after talks with Herbert Hoover that Missouri will reduce hog mortality. About two million dollars worth of hogs died in 1916 from hog cholera. The board mailed notices asking farmers to report sick hogs and will send a state veterinary to treat hogs and provide preventatives.

Milner to Aid Farm Loan Groups Across Texas

Colonel H. T Milner, former president of the agricultural and mechanical college, agreed to travel in northern and farming sections of the state at the request of the Federal Land Bank in Houston. Red Cross Benefit Committees Named in Bryan

Highway Commission Plans Bryan Stop For Route Inspection
