Brazos River Reclamation Seeks 50 Million Federal Loan
Brazos valley officials push for a federal loan of 50 million dollars to fund a reclamation plan that would control floods, enable irrigation, and support power generation. The project would require navigation as an objective and would allocate revenue from improvements to the state after loan repayment. Officials acknowledge navigation may not occur for years but stress benefits and federal cooperation.
