County Agent C L Benson reports that C H Buster Mathis has a promising feed crop with a large acreage of grain sorghums. Will Conway of Independence diversifies with cotton corn peanuts vegetables poultry cattle hogs and fruits. During a visit on Tuesday Conway and his boys were harvesting about fifty bushels of peas including speckled clay black eye and cream peas.

Joint Birthday Celebration For Two Real Texas Elders

A large Friday gathering at the Democrat Crossing along the Navasota river marked a joint birthday party for W. B. Williams of North Zulch aged 79 and J. H. Sheffield of Iola aged 86. Dr Searcy and Family Plan Wheat Ranch Visit and Colorado Tour

Dr. C. A. Searcy and family with Miss Ellen Hughes depart Sunday by auto from Texas en route to Tribune Kansas to visit relatives and inspect a high yielding wheat ranch. They travel via Fort Worth Wichita Falls and other towns, then Colorado Falls River Pass and return through Oklahoma and Kansas. Dr. Searcy aims to return by August 28 to vote.

Rosa Kosh Died in Houston to be buried in Bryan

Miss Rosa Beulah Kosh of Houston died at her home Friday August 13. Her body will be brought to Bryan for burial arriving midnight on the H T C train. The Mc Culloch Gordon Chapel will direct services with interment Sunday at 3 pm in the Catholic Cemetery conducted by Father J B Gliessner of St Josephs Catholic Church.

E. J. Payne of Edge is visiting Crosby for a month with brother Will Payne and family for special medical treatment. Glenn W. Stinnett selected as district representative for Cotton Marketing in Brazos and Burleson counties by the Texas Bureau.
