Concrete highway 21 reaches Trinity in Madison County
Pouring of concrete on Highway No 21 in Madison county was completed Friday according to Division Engineer J E Blair. The concrete streak runs through the county to the Trinity river and the highway from Madisonville east to the river is slated to open to traffic a week from next Monday.

Proposed Bond Issue Amendment Limits Legislature
Brazos county committee and the state organization urge voters to study a proposed constitutional amendment. It would authorize the legislature to issue a single bond of 20 million dollars for relief work and limit this power to two years after the vote. Funeral Service Held for Mrs. Alice Conroy
Funeral services were conducted at St. Joseph's Catholic church for Mrs. Alice Conroy widow of John Conroy who died at her Bryan home Sunday morning. Monsignor J B Gleissner led the rites. A Bryan resident for 45 years she was born July 9 1871 at Orange. She had been infirm for 15 years and ill for a week prior to death. Surviving are two sons John T Conroy Bakersfield California and J J Conroy Bryan and two daughters Mrs Albert Hughes Houston and Mrs Tom Jenkins Bryan with Mr Hughes arriving last week and John T Conroy expected to reach this week.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Banana aged 75 were held Monday at 9:30 from St. Anthony's Church Bryan. Rev Father B Brain conducted services at the church and grave. Mrs Bonano died Saturday at 5:30 at the family home Steeles Store after a lingering illness. Resident of Brazos county 36 years she reared a large family. Husband preceded in death. Survived by son J M Parroni and daughter Mrs Gussie Salvato of Steeles Store and 11 grandchildren all in Brazos county.
