Loans totaling over 200 million dollars have been disbursed or approved by regional agricultural credit corporations in 34 cities under the Farm Act Administration. By July 21 the corporations reported 169.3 million disbursed to 132,803 farmers, with 43.2 million approved but not disbursed and 20.8 million pending. Negro Killed in Headon Crash Near Bryan
Heslip Sadberry well known in the community died in a headon auto crash on the Hearne highway about three miles north of Bryan late Friday night. A Hearne man, Jones, and two small children were injured. Jones received treatment and left. Funeral services will be held Sunday at Mt. Tiver Benchley.

Fire losses in Bryan for the first six months of 1933 dropped about 51 percent. Eugene Sanders, in charge of fire prevention with the State Insurance Commission, reported to City Manager R. G. Williams that losses totaled about $10,793, vs $32,320 for the same period in 1932. He credited the decline to city officials and the fire department's prevention efforts and effectiveness in fighting fires.

U S Department of Agriculture scientists traced the pecan rosette disease to clues found in an ordinary galvanized water bucket.
