Tabor Boys and Girls Club Joint Meet Friday Night

A Friday night joint meeting of the Tabor Boys and Girls Club drew a small crowd with absent club girls. Acting president Miss Bessie Worsham led the session as County Agent Benson announced a candy prize for best project report, with a tie broken into four pieces awarded to Oscar Wilson, Earl McWhorter, Annie Locke, and Fannie Locke. Clyde Wilson won a fast-eating cracker contest as Miss Roten and Beason spoke on club work and songs and yells closed the event.

The Brazos County Farm Bureau held its regular 3:00 PM meeting in the District Court room with strong attendance. President F. H. Poole praised the Texas Farm Bureau Cotton Association, noting members reported higher profits selling through the cooperative and endorsed signing a life marketing agreement.

Cotton Association outlines member support and marketing plan

An agent explained plans to recruit more members and to market cotton, with a committee from the county organization reviewing each contract loss and advising the State Board. He said the aim is to protect farmers from embarrassment, ensure they receive full crop proceeds, and avoid market dumping. Over 40 county growers had signed since the year's start. the group plans a May meeting.
