City Not Liable For Relief Fund Allotted by RFC

The Reconstruction Finance Corporation funds allotted to Bryan and Brazos county for relief of the destitute and to create employment will not have to be repaid by the city or county. State highway aid will be reduced to cover the loans, and counties are not obligated to sign or repay. The funds are for direct relief and job creation rather than self liquidating projects.

Nine from Allen Wins Opener over Madison Co

Allen Academy baseball opened its season Friday with a 6 to 2 victory over Madisonville. Blackman pitched five innings with five strikeouts and two hits allowed, Roach finished and drove in two runs. County Champions District 15 to Meet On Next Saturday
