Brookshire BPW Members Attend State Convention
Mrs. Frankie Dee Cooper and Mrs. Helen Sandel attended the 35th State B and P W convention in Brownsville June 3 to 5. Highlights included a Kings Ranch barbecue en route a fish fry in McAllen and the theme Opportunities Unlimited. Weather was pleasant throughout. Miss Marjorie Hensley hosted a brunch June 6 for Dona Clayton at her aunt Mrs. J J Waller’s home. The gathering featured a miniature gold engraved plate announcing Dona’s forthcoming wedding. A bridal scene with a white swan decor and small white slippers held blue plumbago arrangements and a double wedding rings pillow.

Mrs. Jim Tom House was honored with a stork shower Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R. R. Pattison. Assistant hostesses included Mrs. Ed Neuman and several Pattison family members. About 25 friends attended and refreshments were served. Mrs. House received many useful gifts.

Pattison High School seniors Eddie Neuman and Shirley Norwood traveled to New Orleans as the final two classmates from the class of 1965 to start their journey together twelve years ago. They left Pattison last Monday and planned to return soon.
