The Kearney Post American Legion finished a seven day spotting of enemy aircraft at Observation Post 11 B Bayberry Farm Pappasquash at 6 pm. Forty planes were observed and relayed to Boston via Flash Message. Interceptor units from Hillsgrove and Mitchell Field assisted as observers expressed thanks to volunteers and Mrs Joseph Robinson for use of the grounds.

Church to mark 125th anniversary of its school
The Congregational Church observes the 125th anniversary of its church school with a two day program beginning with a 6 pm banquet in DeWolf Memorial Chapel. Rhode Island College of Education President Lucius A. Whipple will speak. A historical exhibit features relics from the early church and a 1793 pulpit Bible. A Sunday service at 10 30 am will close the observance.
