Jewelry store break in Bristol probed after theft
A former Bristol man released from state prison was questioned after a break in at the Conley Jewelry Store on 446 Hope Street. Police say 10 watches and several rings were stolen, with a large plate glass window shattered and a roadside stone found inside. Four men were checked near Narragansett Electric across the street but cleared. fingerprints and a stone were sent to the State Bureau of Criminal Identification. The store owner is Mrs. Margaret M. O'Brien.

Elementary School Opens New WPA Cafeteria
About 250 pupils from six Bristol area schools dined yesterday in Reynolds School basement cafe. Sponsored by the Federal School Lunch project, meals cost 10 cents for paying students while undernourished pupils may eat free. Frank Andrade of 42 Dimond Avenue received a 30 day jail term in Providence County jail after pleading guilty to malicious mischief for October 8 damage at the White Front Bar Thames Street. Police Chief Ferrara testified to 24 beer bottles and 17 quarts of whiskey broken and a bottle hurled through a mirror. A separate matter saw Manuel Andrade released on costs after fulfilling unpaid compensation obligations. A civil ruling awarded Charles J. Falugo 182.30 plus costs against Edward L.
