Bristol Chapter D A R held its regular meeting at Memorial Hall to elect officers for the year. Regent Mrs Edward G Easterbrooks and vice regent Mrs Charles A Johnson were chosen along with secretary Mrs Edward L Brownell treasurer Mrs George F Stanton registrar Mrs Fred M Dixon historian Miss Anna B Manchester auditor Mrs Lewis B Waldron. The retiring Regent Mrs Brownell received a bouquet and a vote of thanks while each retiring officer was given pencils and silver holders.

Fractured Elbow Endangers Young Helen Morris
Helen Morris seven year old daughter of former councilman P. Henry Morris fractured her right elbow playing at her grandmother Mrs John Duffy s Wood street home Friday afternoon. She was cared for by Dr W F Duffy and later taken to Providence where Dr W L Harris reduced the fracture assisted by Dr Duffy. She is staying with her grandmother due to her brother Terrence s scarlet fever illness.

Field Secretary speaks at First Baptist on Rome trip
W B Wilson Rhode Island Sunday School Association field secretary addressed First Baptist Church Sunday evening on Sunday School work and his Rome trip. He shared how delegates from 583 denominations chartered a boat to Rome and raised 47500 on board. He noted North Africa's missions, two English sisters in Algiers, and converts after years of no results. Views from the trip were shown and the congregation closed with Bless Be the Tie that Binds.

B. T. A. Fair Closes Tonight in Bristol
The Bristol Train of Artillery fair ends tonight after a week of large nightly attendance. Visiting groups included United Train of Artillery Providence, Providence Fife and Drum Corps, Bristol Naval Reserves, and St Marys Fife and Drum Band. Last night the Guard of Honor of Counsel Dom Luiz Felippe Society attended and performed a dispersal parade finale. Laveys Imperial Orchestra provided music for dancing. Prizes will be awarded tonight and crowds are expected to be large.
