Bristol Celebrates Christie's Day With Masses and Merriment
Bristol observed Christies Day in true New England fashion with services and gift exchanges. Midnight Masses filled local churches while elaborate programs accompanied the services. Community groups helped needy families, and a free Pastime Theater showing entertained over 600 children. Town officials discussed potential Post Office land exchange as part of ongoing government negotiations. A YMCA Open House slated for New Year’s Day and local party leaders moved to reorganize the town committee.
