Bristol Scouts Run Town on Citizenship Day Tribute
As part of the 24th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America, Bristol Troops took over town government on a Citizens Day. At Burnside Memorial Building 19 scouts swore in Town Council members and appointed officials, including Town Clerk and Treasurer, police chief, and fire chief, with duties shared for three hours. The day ended with praise from officials and a plan to open playgrounds next summer, plus Fathers and Mothers Night saw the first Bristol Cub Scout pack investiture and a large scout program in Eagle Hall.
