Five Bristol Men In Portsmouth Shooting Court Case
In the Fifth District Court Mariano Medeiros 41 of 15 Prospect Street pleaded guilty to operating an improperly registered motor vehicle related to a Portsmouth shooting case. A $20 fine plus costs was imposed. The court also granted a two week continuance for Dr John H Lake Jr suppression of warrant but he pleaded not guilty Bail remained at 10000. Armando Ferreira received a 5 dollar fine for drunkenness marking his third local court appearance in months. Civil cases Laura Martelly vs A H Carr Arthur H Carr vs Laura Martelly and Ideal Financing Co vs Horace Collins and John J Riley were continued for one week.

The Bristol Train of Artillery Entertainment Association staged the three act mystery Out of the Night by Hutchinson and Williams at Guiteras Memorial school auditorium. Director Frank L. Doctor Judges At America's Biggest Dog Show
Dr H W Church of this town serves as a judge at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York. The event opened with 2461 entries from the United States Canada and abroad and he will judge collies Old English sheepdogs Shetland sheepdogs and Russian wolfhounds. He began judging after being pressed into service thirty one years ago when a rival judge failed to appear.

Treatment of Bristol Trees Starts Under CWA Plan
The Bristol Civic Works Administration approved rejuvenation work on hundreds of trees. Twenty six workers, including four tree surgeons, use 12 weeks to remove dead trees, prune, shape, and treat stumps while eradicating gypsy moth eggs. New trees from the Bristol Garden Club will total about 100.
