Legion Convention Moves to Jamestown for 1930
The American Legion and Auxiliary in Rhode Island will hold their 1930 department conventions in Jamestown on Sept 5 and 6. Despite Bristol’s 250th anniversary observance, the department executive committee rejected transferring the meeting, citing constitutional limits and the high cost of a special convention. The Jamestown decision follows 1929 department votes.
