Patriotic Service Planned at First Congregational Church
A patriotic service under the Babbitt Women’s Relief Corps will be held Sunday night at 7 30 in the First Congregational church auditorium. The Babbitt Relief Corps will present a Memorial Flag to the church as a tribute to a 250th anniversary with exercises by the Standard Bearers. The congregation will pledge allegiance to the flag during the presentation. Roswall Bosworth will sing a baritone solo. Rev Herbert D Graetz will deliver an address on “The True Symbolism of Our Flag.”

Bristol District Nursing Association Holds Annual Meeting
The Bristol District Nursing Association met at the Rockwell Homestead on Hope Street with officers elected: President Charles B Rockwell Jr, Wallis E Howe, Julia A Herreshoff, Evelyn Carter, Norton M Zind Erstien, and Robert J Connery as auditor. The report tallies show 64 crimes, 183 cases attended, 52 child welfare clinics serving 1477 babies, 3158 State visits, 94 prenatal visits and 26 deliveries, 12 chest clinics serving 46 patients, 208 tuberculosis visits, 184 social service visits, 60 diphtheria immunizations and 10 operations, and 2820 general care visits among others. Monthly January 1930 totals include 89 general care and 28 John Hancock visits, plus 75 babies in chest clinics.
