Bristol Boys Community Band Fair Opens in Academy Hall
The Bristol Boys Community Band fair opened on Wood Street in Academy hall Saturday evening with strong attendance. Dancing attracted many, and attendees enjoyed the performances. The fair will continue for the next three Saturdays ending with a masquerade ball on March 4.

Funeral Held for Henry M Thompson Former Bristol Clerk
Henry Manton Thompson longtime Bristol County Superior Court clerk died Saturday afternoon after a long public and business career. The funeral was at his home 178 High Street with Rev Her bert Graetz officiating and interment in North Cemetery. Thompson also worked in a Providence box factory and remained active in Republican town affairs until recently.

Longtime resident and town council member Thompson, active in Hydraulion and Dreadnaught fire brigades, grocer by trade for 25 years, and later with Wardwell Lumber and Providence Phe company, died after a recent heart illness. Survived by wife Miss Henretta Buffington, a son Charles H Thompson of Cranston, a daughter Nellie M Martin of Warren, and six grandchildren. Born April 8, 1850, he was a respected figure among judges, attorneys, and local business people.

Toll Evader On Mt Hope Bridge In Court
In Fifth District Court Judge Frank Hammill presided over motor vehicle cases. Martin E Marks of Pawtucket pleaded guilty to operating after license revocation and speeding on Hope street, fined $100 plus $40, with total costs over $140. The court noted no statute covers toll-bridge fare evasion. amendment proposed. Other defendants faced fines for speeding, license issues, or had cases continued. Four drunkenness cases were fined, and Earl Wix on pleaded to possession of liquor with a $20 fine.
