Merry Yale Party At YMCA Without Men
The Young Women's Club and YMCA hosted a Christmas party for 50 girls while male Navy personnel were turned away. Funeral Services for Manuel Botelho
Funeral rites for Manuel Botelho of 7 Ryan Avenue were held at St Elizabeth's Church after a morning service at his daughter's home. Rev Henrique Rocha officiated the high mass of requiem at 9 o clock. Botelho, aged 72, long served as town president and was a farmer until retirement. He is survived by two daughters, four sons, a sister, and 14 grandchildren. Burial followed at St Mary's Cemetery.
