Death of Reinhard Battcher after three week illness
Reinhard Battcher of 11 Wood Street died yesterday morning at his home after a three week illness. He was 75 and had lived in town 73 years. Born in New London Conn on May 12 1868 he was the son of Henry and Susan Battcher. He once ran a Cole Street store and later worked at the National India Rubber Company. Surviving are his wife Emily Coggeshall Battcher two sons Henry G and Rein hard Jr two daughters Mrs Charles Livingston Mrs William Murry and Mrs James Annable and a brother Albert. Private funeral Thursday at 2 o clock from his residence with Rev John P Beauchamp of Trinity Church officiating. Burial will be in North Cemetery.
