James MacDonald of Shelburne Nova Scotia brother of Charles A MacDonald injured in the Halifax disaster. He worked as a painter in Vancouver for six years and was returning home to spend the holidays with his mother. He survived by staying in Halifax due to fatigue, narrowly missing the collapsed depot.

Shower honors Miss Mildred Taylor on Hope Street
Miss Marguerite F. Lee hosted a miscellaneous shower at her home Monday evening for Miss Mildred Taylor of Hope Street who will wed Harold Field of Providence. The Bristol Improvement Association suit against Bristol and Warren Water Works before the Public Utilities Commission in Providence was continued to January 15. A fire alarm at Box 25 summoned the auto fire truck and crew to a cottage on Second Street where a kitchen blaze in Manual Marshall's home caused minor damage and was quickly put out.
