Drafted Men Leave for Fort Greble This Week

Twenty two district men depart after assembling at the Federal building with the King Philip Fife and Drum Band. They join 200 draftees bound for Fort Greble, marching through Bristol and Newport before boarding the Sagamore to Fort Greble.

Birthday Dinner Party Honoring Mr Coggeshall

The event featured a Mining turkey supper the Star Spangled Banner at the close Elsie McCaw on piano offered patriotic selections. Granddaughter Emma Coggeshall and niece Bertha Farrington assisted in serving gifts included a basket of pinks from his office staff.
